Chromebook won't turn on or charge / Chromebook no enciende o carga

This document serves to guide parents to troubleshoot hardware and software issues with Chromebooks. Adopted from Google's Chromebook Support Page

First, check if the battery is charging by plugging your Chromebook into a power outlet. (Usually, you'll see a light turn on.)

If your Chromebook is charging, let it charge for at least 30 minutes. If it still won't turn on, recover your Chromebook.

If your Chromebook still isn't charging:

1. Check if the charger or adapter cables are completely plugged in, both to your Chromebook and the wall.
2. Make sure that the power outlet is working.
3. Unplug your charger from the wall and your Chromebook.
4. Plug your charger back in to your Chromebook, then the wall.
5. Charge the device for at least 30 minutes.
6. Submit an IT Support Services ticket

En primer lugar, enchufa el Chromebook a una toma de corriente y comprueba que la batería se esté cargando (normalmente, se enciende una luz).

Si tu Chromebook se está cargando, déjalo así durante al menos 30 minutos. Si sigue sin encenderse, recupera el Chromebook.

Si el Chromebook sigue sin cargarse:

1. Comprueba que los cables del cargador o del adaptador estén correctamente enchufados al Chromebook y a la toma de corriente.
2. Comprueba que el enchufe funcione.
3. Desenchufa el cargador de la toma de corriente y del Chromebook.
4. Vuelve a enchufar el cargador al Chromebook y, a continuación, a la toma de corriente.
5. Carga el dispositivo durante al menos 30 minutos.
6. Enviar una solicitud de ayuda de tecnologia para Student IT Support Services
